Fire Door Responsibilities under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022
From 23rd January 2023, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 introduced new legal requirements for Responsible Persons in multi-occupied residential buildings.
For buildings over 11 metres in height, the following checks are mandatory:
Communal fire doors must be inspected at least every three months.
Flat entrance doors must be inspected at least once a year.
These checks are essential to ensure fire doors are maintained in good working order and able to perform effectively in the event of a fire.
